Provide services that include:

 

*   Assessing and determining appropriate and common goals

 

*   Implementing treatment for a variety of conditions (e.g. orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, palliative, post surgical, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, frail individuals/falls prevention)

 

*   Increasing range of motion, strength, function, balance and mobility to restore or improve independence and to maintain activities of daily living

 

*   Addressing issues regarding safety and appropriate equipment in order to be safe in their own residence

 

*   Assessing, prescribing and teaching proper use of equipment such as walkers, canes, crutches t

 

*   Providing intervention for pain management (e.g. modalities, positioning)

 

*   Providing education for clients and family members to maximize their independence and foster self-management

 

*   Working with other health care professionals to ensure continuity and consistency of client car

 

*   Educating the community and health care professionals in optimizing health and fitness and in injury prevention
